Founded in 1833 the Vistula Historic District is one of Toledo’s oldest neighborhoods and is located in the Old West End. One of Toledo’s seventeen historic districts, the Vistula Historic District was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

Using the existing branding as a generative focal point, prototypes were created integrating the original logo and color scheme. Once the finalized layout was selected modern color schemes were proposed. A single refreshed graphic was then fabricated and installed within the Summit streetscape.

Product Type: T-Shirt Design

Project Type: Professional Work

Summer 2021, Akron Public Schools kicked off their first annual Summer Robotics Camp for all middle school-aged students within the district. Hoping to motivate and engage as many students as possible the t-shirt design was a triad of motifs incorporating the ever-popular game Rocket League, synth-wave, and the eye-popping visuals from the ‘80s. Half robot, half soccer tournament, equals one hundred percent retrofuture goodness.

Founded in 2010, Friends of the Akron Arts serves to support, collaborate with, and advocate for all arts programs at Firestone Community Learning Center. Logo creation ensured that the design supported omnichannel marketing, remained simple and impactful while differentiating itself from the existing Akron School of the Arts logo. The finalized design exists as a standalone graphic while maintaining a familiarity and connectedness to its existing counterpart within Akron Public Schools.

Project Type: Independent Work

Space is one of the fundamental elements of art. Rooted within one of the most ubiquitous starting points of design the following icon designs seek to achieve balance and emphasis through the use of positive and negative space. Once the initial shapes have been defined the focus shifts towards a focus on both line weight and fill color. The final composition then emerges through a more refined use of space, color, and value.
