Jason Labovitz serves as a Content Specialist for Career Technical Education (CTE) at Akron Public Schools, where he oversees many of the district’s Learning Management Systems, manages and analyzes data to guide strategic decision-making, consults on hardware and classroom technology, and supports curriculum design to strengthen CTE programs across the district. A key focus of his work also includes advancing Industry Credentials and expanding Work-Based Learning opportunities for students.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Technology from Bowling Green State University (2009), a Master of Architecture from the University of Illinois at Chicago (2012), and a post-baccalaureate degree in Integrated Mathematics from Cleveland State University (2015). His professional background includes architectural work throughout Ohio, Chicago, and England, with experience spanning large-scale interactive media, historic preservation, and educational building design.
Over eight years in the classroom, Jason taught mathematics, visual art, digital design, video production, and information technology to students in grades 2-12 across the Cleveland and Akron regions. Jason also served as a Teaching Fellow at the Cleveland Museum of Art (2019). His teaching emphasized both technical proficiency and the transformation of digital concepts into tangible outcomes, bridging creativity with practical application.
